I graduated from North Georgia College in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the State University of West Georgia in 2003.

I began teaching in 1997 in Trenton, Georgia. My career began in fourth grade where I stayed for a year. I then moved to third grade where I taught for the next two years. In 2000 I moved to Calhoun, GA, and began my teaching career in the Calhoun City Schools System. While I was there I taught second grade for five years and then moved to first for one year. I decided I was ready for a change, so I moved to Belwood Elementary School. My first year there I taught kindergarten. I then moved on to a new chapter and because the REACH teacher. I absolutely loved working with these children, and I continued in that position for two years. In 2009 SES opened its doors. I spent three years teaching a self-contained 5th grade class. (This means I taught them all subjects) I then moved down to fourth grade for two years. I have been at Ashworth for the last three years, and I have enjoyed every minute of it!! My second year here I had the privilege of representing AMS as Teacher of the Year. I am so ready to begin my fourth year with my Math Warriors!!!

My name is Jessica Gaither. I am 41 years old and have been teaching for 21 years in grades K-5, 6-8 math, as well as Reach. I am excited about beginning my fourth year  in middle school...I am really looking forward to a GREAT year! I have been married and living in Calhoun for seventeen years. I have a precious 13 1/2 year old named Sophie and a 9 1/2 year old named Jackson. My family and I love to go hiking and camping, and we spend a lot of time outside! I love what I do and I hope that is evident in the way I teach your children!
