The Ashworth JV Boy's basketball team faced Woodland Middle School yesterday and destroyed the Wildcats on their way to a 44-9 victory.  The team struggled early, but manhandled their opponent the rest of the game in closing out the victory.  Armando Sanchez led all scorers with 10 points, followed closely behind with 8 points each from Brysin McGinnis and little big man James Huges,  4 points each from the "Big O" Omar Byrd and James Scott, 3 each from Sean Gray and Walker Angland, 2 from Seth Haygood, and 2 from "The Secret Weapon" Alan Osorio.

The Varsity Warrior fought had and came away with a strong 36-11 victory over Woodland.  Armando Sanchez played strong in the post and led all scorers with 10 points, Isaac Martinez played inspired and scored 8 points, Sam Melton displayed his shooter's touch with 8 points, Wyatt York had 6 points, Brady Cronan did his best Steph Curry impression with a three-pointer in the corner, and Quinton Walker finished off the scoring with 1 points.
