The Bert Show sponsors a program every year called “The Big Thank You,” which sends Thank You cards to U.S. soldiers who are deployed during Thanksgiving and aren’t able to come home and see their families.

All Ashworth 7th grade students created one or more cards to send. They also included return address, in case any of the soldiers had time to write back. Each student expressed gratitude for soldiers and told a little about themselves in their cards. They had a lot of great artwork and a lot of sweet notes to the soldiers. Ashworth sent over 250 cards altogether and hopes it helps provide a smile for a soldier away from home during the holiday season.
